Dear Industry Partner,

This week the Provincial Government announced additional lifting of restrictions. Nova Scotia and the Atlantic Provinces are closer than ever to opening our mutual border for tourism. As the economy reopens, TIANS continues our advocacy efforts on your behalf; if you’ve not yet done so we ask that you please complete the Business Confidence Survey launched yesterday. Your input is extremely important to us, to help inform our discussions with government, policymakers and support agencies. Summary data will be posted to the TourismStrong.ca site following closure of this survey.

This week we partnered with Labour and Advanced Education, Health and Safety Branch to provide industry with information and resources around Opening Safely. The webinar is available in our library of recorded sessions. We encourage you to take advantage of this information, as many of you are in the process of developing your own reopening plans

Next week our feature Webinar will share actionable advice and practical tools for tourism operators. Hosted by Tourism HR Canada President and CEO Philip Mondor, this one-hour webinar will provide guidance, support, and practical tools to the 200,000 tourism operators across the country devastated by the impacts of COVID-19.

We encourage you to visit the TOURISMSTRONG.CA hub regularly as we strive to keep you informed in real time. The Facebook discussion group provides an opportunity for tourism operators to share ideas and stay updated on access tools and supports.

Stay Tourism Strong,
The TIANS Team
