Provincial Update: May 27
Premier Stephen McNeil announced plans for reopening the economy, and a 25 Million grant to support businesses:
Most businesses required to close due to the public health order can now re-open on June 5th. Every business and sector must follow public health protocols.
25M Business Reopening Support Grant:
- Available for: small businesses, not-for-profit, charities and social enterprises
- Additional $1,500 voucher for consulting services
- If you’ve received the Small Business Impact Grant, the Provincial Government will contact you directly
In addition, the Premier announced an Infrastructure Investment of $230 Million for shovel-ready products to support small-medium sized construction companies across the province. This will create 2000 jobs in this fiscal year.
