The CERB is now open for applications from Canadians whose income has been affected by COVID-19, including self employed individuals.
It provides a payment of $2,000 for a 4-week period for up to 16 weeks. After you apply, you should get your payment in 3 business days if you signed up for direct deposit.
In order to manage the volume of applications expected, the process is being managed by birth month. See below chart for more details:
